EuroBSDCon is an annual gathering of the BSD community of developers and users from across Europe and the other continents. BSD links together open-source operating systems with a common ancestor and similar licensing, which makes it easy for ideas and code to move between them. The conference goes beyond that: it showcases the best new work of the previous year and gives participants the chance to network.
The Berkeley Software Distribution, or BSD, is a Unix-based operating system first developed at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1977.
EuroBSDCon is a migrating conference that travels to a different country and town in Europe each year. 2021 is different: because of COVID-19, the event is held online, from 17 to 19 September 2021.
This year's event is hosted live on the BigBlueButton platform, with RIADVICE behind the curtain providing the technical infrastructure.
In case you did not know, BSD is used by many reputable businesses and products, among them the Unix components of macOS, the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5.
Do not miss out on this opportunity: register today at 2021.eurobsdcon.org.
